Tadpole Bridge

The parapet brickwork of Tadpole Bridge at Shifford Reach had been badly damaged. Repairs were required to make the bridge safe for both boats passing underneath and those who rely on the bridge as a river crossing.

In order to reduce disruption to the public, Greenford completed the work overnight - completing the bridge between 10 pm and 5 am with a time scale of one week.

A Mobile Elevating Work Platform was used, enabling the team to work effectively on either side of the parapet whilst re-building.

Although the Greenford team only had 7 nights to complete the project, time was used efficiently and works were completed to a high standard.
