Bristol and Bath Railway Path (Video)

Updated: Oct 19, 2022

Greenford was pleased to see positive feedback from the public about the completed section of the Bristol & Bath Railway Path which has been greeted warmly by cyclists and pedestrians alike.

This section of the path was part of Sustrans' "Paths for Everyone" programme, which has seen pathways and cycleways renewed across the country.

The works included widening the Clay Bottom "wiggle", where the path goes through a sharp S-bend, to create segregated paths for cyclists and pedestrians. The "wiggle" was notorious with cyclists and pathway-users for being a bend with poor visibility, leading to many near-misses.

The new layout will reduce these risks, and allow everyone to enjoy using the route.
