At Greenford Ltd, we have once again swapped sending Christmas cards for donating to a charity of our choice instead. This year we have chosen to support Homeless Oxfordshire.
The number of rough sleepers in Oxford has increased by 400% since 2012. Homeless Oxfordshire works to end homelessness for good by providing a range of housing with high-quality support, creating individual solutions to individual needs, encouraging and supporting homeless people to take up training, education and activities.
Homeless Oxfordshire provide accommodation for over 200 people a night and serve 75,000 meals every single year.
Robert Hutton, Director of Greenford Ltd. said: "As a firm whose origins are rooted in Oxford, we are always looking for ways to give back to our community. The work that Homeless Oxfordshire has been doing, impressed us immensely and it is a charity that enhances so many lives. I hope that other businesses will follow and support the organisations who spend their lives helping others."
Lorraine Emms-Clements, Community Fundraiser from the charity expressed their gratitude for the donation. “Thanks to Greenford Ltd.’s contribution, we are able to provide support on the journey of recovery from homelessness. We know that our efforts are only possible because of the contributions we receive from generous donors like Greenford Ltd.,” she said.
In the past, Greenford Ltd. has supported a range of charities including Helen & Douglas House, the Oxford’s Children’s Hospital, the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service and built an outdoor learning structure for Rose Hill Primary School
