Greenford Limited was contacted by GB Rowing to undertake a six-day project at The Redgrave Pinsent Rowing Lake.
The lake, named in honour of the renowned Olympic rowers Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Matthew Pinsent, is a purpose-built lake and boathouse designed to cater to the training needs of the GB rowing team. The work was required in order to effectively manage water levels in the lake and involved installing a precast concrete headwall and a new penstock valve to effectively manage water levels.
Special care was taken to schedule the workaround training sessions to ensure minimal disruption to the operations of the facility.
